7 SRC Employee-Owners Celebrate College Graduation, Manufacturing Cohort Program
Seven employee-owners of SRC Holdings have earned their college degrees in manufacturing technology through a cohort program with Ozarks Technical Community College.
The graduates completed the 3.5-year program designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to advance their careers while maintaining a more convenient evening schedule. Coursework is rooted in real-world application with customized projects specific to manufacturing that address issues facing the industry and company.
The students graduating with an Associate of Applied Science in Manufacturing Technology are:
BJ Griffin, SRC Automotive
Beau Jones, SRC Logistics
Josh King, SRC Heavy Duty
Osbaldo Martinez, NewStream Enterprises
Patrick McNeven, SRC Logistics
Alethea Stemick (Certificate in Manufacturing Technology), SRC Automotive
Andrew Updegraff, SRC Logistics
The cohort program, which began in 2008, is a collaboration between Ozarks Technical Community College and SRC Holdings. The program allows associates to earn their degrees alongside fellow employee-owners while continuing to work full-time. Unlike SRC’s traditional tuition reimbursement program, there is no upfront cost to the associate.
“This program is well worth the investment because these graduates are utilizing their education to solve the challenges we face as a company,” said Krisi Schell, Executive Vice President of HR at SRC Holdings, “They are the future of our organization.”
