Jack Stack, SRC Holdings awarded Outstanding Philanthropist Award

On November 10, 2020, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Ozarks Region Chapter celebrated 2020 National Philanthropy Day with a virtual event. During the event, hosted via Facebook Live, emcee Joy Robertson introduced chapter leaders who recognized award nominees and winners.

Each year, awards are presented during the annual event to professionals making a difference in the Ozarks community through philanthropic efforts. Jack Stack and SRC Holdings were awarded the 2020 Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year Award. This award recognizes professionals who believe philanthropy is part of life and by living a life of service, have inspired others to do the same.

Stack was nominated by Habitat for Humanity Springfield, one of the first non-profit organizations to implement SRC’s open-book management system, The Great Game of Business®.

Stack served as the honorary chair for Habitat’s 2020 Toolbelts and Bowties event. Although the event was not held due to the pandemic, Stack’s leadership and use of a MiniGame (an engaging, short-term activity designed to pursue an opportunity) helped Habitat for Humanity meet and exceed their fundraising goal. The team at SRC also recruited 7 additional event sponsorships.

“We are deeply grateful for this award,” said Stack in an acceptance video.

“We want to make a point that this award is being accepted on behalf of everyone in our organization, our associates, because they are the ones that really make things happen.”
