Scott Dalenberg

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
SRC Holdings Corp.

Scott joined SRC in 2010 after working in a diverse range of leadership roles throughout his 40-year career. Growing up outside of Detroit, Scott’s first job after graduating high school, and marrying his sweetheart, Tammy, was working at a union-staffed Bechtel power plant. A few years later, Scott leaped at an opportunity to join what was then an entrepreneurial startup called FedEx. After hiring two of his friends and opening a distribution center in a two-bay gas station, Scott ferried packages during the day and attended a local community college at night.

Scott’s career took another entrepreneurial turn when one of his customers, Bill Smith, became a mentor and career coach. Following Smith’s lead, Scott moved to Springfield, Missouri, and helped start and grow several innovative ventures in the fields of distribution and remanufacturing as the VP and General Manager. Scott used this experience over the following sixteen years as the President and COO working for private equity companies that acquired and merged some 18 companies.

Smith, who counted Jack Stack among his friends, also introduced Scott to a new customer: the SRC Family of Companies, which Scott learned had never laid an employee off in its history. That notion of creating jobs—and sustaining them—appealed to Scott and he welcomed the opportunity to join SRC. In his current role, Scott helps lead oversight at CNH Reman, one of SRC’s joint ventures, while also serving on the board of other SRC joint ventures and SRC’s investment committee.

Scott has also proven himself an exceptional recruiter for SRC’s employee-owned culture, as his two sons, Chandler, and Schuyler, both work inside the business. When the workweek ends, Scott heads to his family’s lake house on Table Rock Lake, where he especially enjoys spending time with his young grandson, family, and friends.
